DORY smart lock can be mounted on any door equipped with a European cylinder and allows it to be opened securely via smartphone or traditional key. It stands out for its ease of installation, long-lasting batteries and silent operation.
Florence Engineering participated in the development of this product from the beginning, starting from the preliminary idea. The very stringent requirements concerned the overall dimensions and operating autonomy: in fact, the electronic board with radio interface, the electromechanical actuator and the batteries, which had to guarantee an operating autonomy of at least one year, had to be contained in a cylinder of 50×50 mm.
Florence Engineering therefore defined the entire architecture of the electrical and electromechanical part, starting from the identification on the market of an actuator of small shape and size, with reduced power consumption, which was then customized by the manufacturer to make closed-loop control possible, in order to guarantee the operational safety required by the lock.
