Hydraulic test bench
Florence Engineering designed and realized a bench for the functional testing of a system which measures the chemical-physical characteristics of lubricating oils.
For the functional checks it was necessary to place the system being tested in conditions similar to the operational ones, therefore the bench had to produce an oil flow with controlled flow rate, pressure and temperature; it had also to be possible to produce inside the hydraulic circuit a pressure equal to and not greater than the maximum pressure allowed by the specifications, for leak checks on the circuit itself.
For the construction of the test bench, a structure made of aluminum profiles on wheels was designed to facilitate transportation. A steel tank was selected, inside which a heater with PID feedback control was placed. The hydraulic circuit was then completed with a gear pump and all the valves and sensors necessary to regulate the flow rate and pressure of oil.
